The information collected

In running and maintaining our business, we may collect and process the following data about you:

Information provided by you, for example, personal details when you register for information, enter a competition or make a purchase.

We only collect basic personal data about you which does not include any special types of information or location based information.

Why we need it

What we do with it

As part of the registration process for our mailing list we collect personal information.

We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied.

We don’t rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.

We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter. For more information, please see MailChimp’s privacy notice. You can unsubscribe to general mailings at any time of the day or night by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any of our emails or by emailing us directly at info@ourplayground.co.uk.

In order to make certain services available to you, we may need to share your personal data with some of our service partners. This may include delivery partners to make sure goods you order through the website get to you.

We only allow its service providers to handle your personal data when we have confirmed that they apply appropriate data protection and security controls.

How long we keep it

We are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed. Your information that we use for marketing purposes will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.
